WAITING LIST AND DEPOSIT POLICY FOR WINDY ACRES SCHNAUZERS We are a small hobby breeder, not a kennel, therefore we have a limited number of litters each year. For that reason, we do not accept deposits on unborn litters! If you see an upcoming litter you are interested in, you can ask to be put on our call-back list.  Once the litter is whelped, a group email will be sent to everyone on the list, detailing the number of puppies in the litter, colors, sex, etc. At that time I will begin accepting the $100 deposits.  Of course, I will only accept as many deposits as there are puppies in the litter. PLEASE BE SURE YOU REALLY WANT A PUPPY BEFORE PLACING YOUR DEPOSIT!!  You may pay your deposit with cash, personal checks, money orders, or PayPal. If you are using PayPal you must include the 3% they charge for their services. When the email has been sent I will start the waiting list. Placement on the list will be in the order I am contacted. Once you let me know that you are going to place a deposit, I will hold your space for 3 days to allow time for your deposit to arrive in the mail. If I have not received the deposit in the alloted 3 days, anyone else on the list after you that has already paid their deposit will be moved ahead. You may apply your $100 deposit to hold a specific puppy in the litter, or you may choose to apply it to hold your place on the list and wait until the puppies are older before choosing your puppy. This option may be determined by your placement on the list. For instance, if you are the 2nd person to place a deposit on a black female, and there are three black females in the litter, you will not be able to choose your puppy until the 1st person placing their deposit has chosen theirs. If the 1st person has decided to use their deposit to hold their place on the list and wait until the puppies are 5-6 weeks old before they make their choice, then you will have had that option chosen for you as well. After they have chosen theirs, you would choose from the remaining two puppies, and the 3rd person would get the last one. Your deposit (NOT INCLUDING THE PAYPAL FEES) will be applied to the purchase price of your puppy.  The remaining balance must be paid in cash at time of pick-up, or thru Paypal 7 days before pick-up. If using Paypal for the balance, you must include the additional 3% Paypal charges for their services. If all persons on the waiting list have been contacted and there are still puppies in the litter without deposits, those puppies will be posted as available on the website. NO PUPPY WILL BE HELD WITHOUT A DEPOSIT!! We want every family to get the puppy they really want, therefore, DEPOSITS ARE FULLY REFUNDABLE (EXCLUDING PAYPAL FEES) UNTIL THE PUPPY IS 7 WEEKS OLD, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!! After the age of 7 weeks, deposits are non-refundable unless something unfortunate happens to that puppy while he or she is still in my care.   NOTE: It is difficult to estimate adult size when a puppy is only a couple of weeks old. We try to estimate adult size by taking the puppy's weight at 6 weeks and multiplying that weight by 4. REMEMBER THOUGH-THIS IS STILL ONLY A GUESSTIMATE! IT IS ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANYONE TO DETERMINE A PUPPY'S ADULT SIZE AT EVEN 6-8 WEEKS OLD! I WILL GIVE YOU THE HEIGHT AND WEIGHT OF THAT LITTER'S PARENTS, AS WELL AS THE PUPPY'S WEIGHT AT 6 WEEKS, BUT THAT IS STILL NOT A GUARANTEE OF ADULT SIZE!!
